The Ocean Was Always a Road

Six Chinese wisdoms woven through it, each in Chinese characters with pinyin and translation, each used not as decoration but as a structural pillar:

— 知己知彼 — Know yourself, know the other — on encountering the CARICOM world
The sea accepts all rivers — on Chinese presence in the Caribbean
Distance reveals strength — on Caribbean endurance and resilience
Small steps make the thousand-mile journey — on Caribmondo’s philosophy
The journey begins beneath your feet — as the closing

It covers all fourteen CARICOM nations by name, the Chinese diaspora history in the Caribbean, the Maroons, the indigenous peoples, the economic weight of the region, and closes with the Akan proverb Tete Ka Ho — the ancient things remain.
